Swatches + Review: Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette! Macarons!

Hi there!

Too Faced recently released their summer sweet palette: Sugar Pop!  A cute metal tin with 9 shades ready for Summer.  I love macarons and these little confections color the outside of the palette and the insert within.  Want a closer look?

.

From Too Faced's website

I ordered this from Too Faced's website and you can see the promo images above.  All of my swatches are foiled with water on my hand and photographed in natural daylight.

Overall each shadow performed well, smoothly, and had a nice opacity and ease of application.  They are high quality and apply true to pan.  The only one that was slightly patchy was Blackberry (matte) but as I was applying wet that can sometimes cause a slightly streaky application.  It will be lovely as a blending or crease color or to smoke out the lower lashline.

Here's a peek-see at the packaging!

Let's see how those colors look on skin- I'm interested to see how peachy/orange Macaron looks in real life.

Macaron- lovely melon peach with a sparkle of gold (Pretty!)
Malted Milk Ball- golden brown with gold shimmer
Sugared Violet- deep blue based purple with slight navy duochrome
Blackberry- muted grey based mid-tone purple (matte)
Bubblegum- true bubble gum pink shimmer
Blue Raspberry- vibrant mint toned Tiffany blue with icy blue sparks

The palette offers these six smaller shadows and three larger highlighting/blending shades.  The larger shades are below!  Notice that these are more sheer and not as vibrant.  I found only one to be 'glittery' which is Peach Fuzz.  Strawberry Ice was very sheer and glowy- I like it the best surprisingly. Take a look-

If you're looking for inspiration on how to use these shades the palette comes with a cute 'sealed with a heart' insert.  You open it like a love letter from the creator Jerrod Blandino who cheesily chirps "It's fun to be a girl!" (slight eye roll there) and offers up a few ways to wear these new shades.

You can buy this pretty box of macaron-esque shades at Too Faced's website, Ulta (if it's in stock), and by April in Sephora stores and online.

I'm loving this set and although the shades aren't unique the box is darling and it's a lovely addition to my Too Faced collection.  Does this palette interest you?

And before I go- a quick look I did using the Sugar Pop palette I posted on Instagram-

Have a great day,
